AI wedding speech writer
An AI wedding speech generator that sounds like you
Toast uses AI to turn your memories into a first draft of your wedding speech. You bring the stories and the feelings. Toast asks the questions, writes the draft and gives you the tools to shape it until every line sounds like something you would say.
It works for every role: best man, maid of honour, the parents of the couple, the bride and groom, a sibling, a friend, the officiant, or someone else entirely.
From €29, one time. No account needed to begin.
How Toast writes your speech
Set the scene
Choose your role, the couple's names, a length of 3, 5 or 7 minutes, who will be listening, and a tone: heartfelt, balanced or a playful roast. Your speech can be written in any of 12 languages.
Answer a few questions
Four questions help you find your material: how you know them, the story you always tell, what you love about them and what you wish for them. Then the AI may ask up to three follow-up questions of its own, based on what you wrote.
Read your first draft
Confirm your email with a six-digit code, and Toast writes a full draft from your answers, at your length and in your tone, with the friends' stories you chose if you used Story Harvest. It appears on screen as it is written.
Make it yours
Rework any paragraph: make it funnier, shorter or give it more heart, swap in a friend's story, or write it yourself. Then rehearse with a timer and download your speech PDF, cue cards, a keepsake PDF or a Word file.
What the AI does, and what it doesn't
What the AI does
- Asks up to three follow-up questions, based on your answers
- Writes a full draft at your target length, in your tone and your chosen language
- Rewrites one paragraph at a time, when you ask it to
- Points out lines that might not suit the room, and offers a softer one
- Reads the stories friends send through Story Harvest, then tags and summarises them for you
What it doesn't do
- Invent stories. It is told to use only the names, places and events in your answers and your friends' stories, and to write a shorter speech rather than make things up.
- Know the couple. Your memories are what make the speech personal, so the more specific your answers, the better the draft.
- Have the last word. AI can still get a detail wrong or pick a line you would never say, so read the draft out loud and change anything that isn't you.
- Share your speech. Your speeches are private to you.
The AI behind Toast
Toast's drafts, rewrites and checks are made with AI from Anthropic. Voice notes that friends send through Story Harvest are turned into text by OpenAI. Our Privacy policy lists every service we use and what each one does.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your speeches or stories to train AI models.
What it costs
A speech costs €29 one time, VAT included, with no subscription. It includes 5 drafts, every editing tool, the rehearsal page and all the print files.
Optional extras: Story Harvest, €10, and 5 more drafts, €5.
Before you pay, you can read the start of your first draft for free.
Your full speech stays available until two weeks after your wedding.
Questions about writing with AI
Does the AI make up stories about the couple?
No, it is told not to. Toast's writer works only from the names, places and events in your answers and your friends' stories, and writes a shorter speech rather than padding it out. AI can still get a detail wrong, so read every line before the day.
Is it all right to use AI for a wedding speech?
Yes, as long as the speech is still yours. The memories, the feelings and the final say come from you. Toast helps with the words and the shape, the way a friend who is good with words might.
Can I change the draft?
Yes. Edit any paragraph by hand, ask for a funnier, shorter or warmer version of it, or swap in a friend's story. Each speech includes 5 full drafts.
What languages can Toast write in?
Toast can write your speech in 12 languages: English, Croatian, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Serbian and Swedish. A friend's story in another language is translated into the language of your speech.
Do I need an account?
Not to begin. You can set up your speech and answer the questions without an account. To save your speech and write the draft, you confirm your email with a six-digit code.
